What We Do Arthur H. Terry and Co LLC is a full service marine surveying company that specializes in the recreational and light duty commercial marine industries. Our company performs Pre-Purchase surveys for new boat owners, Condition and Valuation surveys for current boat owners with insurance or financial needs, Damage Appraisals for individual or insurance companies, Claims Adjustment for insurance companies, Representation for clients in claims disputes, and Project Management for new construction or major refit and renovations. About Us Arthur H. Terry started this business in 1952 after gaining extensive experience as a Master on tug vessels serving the Panama Canal, Inland and Ocean towages. This along with experience as a yacht broker and an insurance solicitor prepared him for the Marine Surveying business. Mr. Terry worked in this field and gained many allocates from his peers up to his retirement in 1986. But that wasn't the end of Arthur H. Terry and Co. Sewell 'SI' Williams purchased the company in 1986 and served as its principal surveyor for 14 years. Si brought the experience of owning and operating an medium to light duty commercial vessel repair and dry-dock facility, Algiers Iron Works and Dry-Dock Co. Si developed the company as one of the leading Marine Surveying firms on the Northern Gulf Coast. Arthur H. Terry and Co with Si Williams, served the recreational and light duty commercial marine markets as an accredited marine surveyor, appraiser, claims adjuster serving the insurance industry, and as an expert witness in maritime cases in federal and local judicial systems. Today Arthur H. Terry and Co LLC is owned and operated as a partnership between Robert Doolittle and Kevin Martin. Bob and Kevin are both principal marine surveyors for Arthur H.
